DESCRIPTION
Coin #4 in the circulation-themed Tribute: W Mint Mark series, which is proudly minted at the Royal Canadian Mint’s Winnipeg facility. More than any other Canadian denomination, the 25-cent coin has served as a canvas for Canadian history, having featured a number of designs that preserve the spirit of our national celebrations and commemorations. The circulation piece’s commemorative history includes notable firsts, but it is Emanuel Hahn’s caribou portrait – re-created here in 99.99% pure silver with a tailored specimen finish – that has left an indelible mark on numismatic history, and even after eight decades, it continues to resonate with Canadians and collectors worldwide
➢ Coin #4! An affordable series for collectors of all ages, this new six-part series celebrates Canada’s circulation coins and tells their story.
➢ Features a tailored specimen finish! The relief has a satin sheen, while the field’s textured appearance is the result of angled lines inspired by the Winnipeg Mint’s pyramidshaped building.
