Terms and Conditions

All items offered in this online auction are sold directly by West Edmonton Coin and Stamp. By placing a bid on any item, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Right of Admission: West Edmonton Coin & Stamp reserves the right to approve or disapprove any participant's registration, refuse service, or cancel bidding privileges at any time at our sole discretion, especially those who have incurred account strikes.

  • All items are sold "As Is, Where Is" unless explicitly stated otherwise in the listing description.
  • We strive to provide accurate photos, measurements, and descriptions for every item. However, minor variations or slight discrepancies may occur.
  • Bidders are responsible for carefully reviewing all photos and listing details prior to placing a bid.
  • Certain listings may feature a Reserve Price (a confidential minimum price).
  • An item will only be sold if the highest bid meets or exceeds the set reserve price at the time the auction closes.
  • If the reserve price is not met, West Edmonton Coin & Stamp is under no obligation to complete the sale.
  • Binding Offer: Every bid placed is a binding commitment to purchase the item at that price if you are the winning bidder.
  • Extended Bidding: All auctions feature popcorn bidding. Any bid placed within the last 5 minutes of an item’s scheduled end time will extend the auction duration by 1 minutes. The item will only close once 5 consecutive minutes pass without a new bid.
  • Auction Closes: The highest bidder at the close of the auction (provided any applicable reserve has been met) wins the item.
  • Bid Cancellation: We reserve the right to decline, cancel, or remove bids at our discretion in cases of suspected fraud, error, or non-compliance with store policies.
  • Buyer Responsibilities: The winning bidder is strictly responsible for all applicable taxes, shipping costs, insurance, and duty fees. These will be added to the final invoice.
  • Invoicing: Successful bidders will receive an invoice after the auction closes containing the item total, applicable taxes, and calculated shipping fees.
  • Payment Deadline: Payment must be completed in full within 3 business days after auction ends.
  • Accepted payment methods include: Credit Card, Debit card, and Interac E-transfers.
  • Failure to pay within the specified timeframe may result in the order being canceled and the item being offered to the next highest bidder or relisted.

Placing a bid and refusing to pay—or attempting to back out of a purchase due to a change of mind—disrupts our operations and fairness to other bidders.

  • Account Strike: Failure to settle an unpaid invoice within the required timeframe will result in an immediate Strike against your account.
  • Permanent Ban: Accounts receiving 2 Strikes or exhibiting clear non-payment behavior will be permanently banned from participating in future auctions or making purchases on our store.
  • Order Cancellation: Unpaid items will be canceled and either offered to the runner-up bidder or relisted.
  • Shipping Fees: Buyers are responsible for all applicable shipping costs, taxes, and duties unless explicitly marked as "Free Shipping."
  • Dispatch: Paid items will be processed and dispatched within 3-5 business days.
  • Shipping Time: Canada Post handles the shipping, delays are expected. For more information see our store FAQs.
  • Local Pickup: If local pickup is offered, items must be retrieved within 14 days of payment confirmation.

  • All Sales Are Final: Due to the nature of auction sales, all purchases are strictly final sale. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or issue refunds under any circumstances.
  • Condition & Transparency: We strive to accurately disclose the condition of every item to the best of our ability through detailed photos, listings, and descriptions.
  • Buyer Due Diligence: Bidders are expected to inspect all photos, read listing descriptions carefully, and ask any questions prior to placing a bid. By bidding, you acknowledge and accept the item’s condition as shown and described.

Auction items are processed, packed, and shipped independently from standard store purchases. Auction wins cannot be combined with regular fixed-price product orders for shipping, discounts, or checkout purposes. Separate invoices and shipping rates will apply to each type of order.

West Edmonton Coin & Stamp is not responsible or liable for any missed bids, delayed transactions, or order failures caused by technical glitches, internet outages, server downtime, or unforeseen events beyond our reasonable control—including naturally occurring disruptions, severe weather, power grid failures, or network outages or any other force majeure events.

What is an automatic bid?
You tell the site the highest amount you are willing to pay, and the system automatically places bids on your behalf—only as much as needed to keep you in the lead.

Is my automatic bid visible to others?
- No. it will not show your max automatic bid because its confidential. What others see is the leading bid amount, not your maximum automatic bid.

What happens if two bidders have the same Max Automatic Bid?
- The one who placed the max bid first will win, but you can always outbid because auctions do not end at someone's max bid reaching

Can I increase or decrease my max bid?
- Yes, you can. But all previous bid that has been placed are recognized and cannot be cancelled.

We accept most credit cards and debit payments as well as Interac E-transfers.
