DESCRIPTION:
Honouring those who serve and have served.
Each year on November 11, Canada pauses to honour all who serve or have served our country in times of war and peace, and our annual Remembrance Day coin keeps that spirit of gratitude and remembrance alive year-round. The 2024 edition presents a stirring visual metaphor for the more than 2,300,000 who served in Canada’s military throughout its history, including the more than 118,000 who ultimately gave their lives. Its reverse shows the red-petalled flower of Remembrance in various stages of bloom, from the poppy that proudly stands tall as a symbol of those who serve or have served, to the drooping one that pays respect to our fallen—those who are gone, but whose sacrifices will not be forgotten.
Service and sacrifice, represented by red poppies.
Special features
- Selective colour. While frostings add dimension and depth to the engraving, the selective use of colour puts focus on the red poppies that represent Canadian combatants past and present, as well as the fallen.
- A visual metaphor. Depicted in various stages of bloom, the poppies on your coin’s reverse serve as metaphors for service and sacrifice, life and loss, and most of all, hope.
- An annual commemoration. A key commemorative theme year after year, our previous Remembrance Day coins tend to sell out quickly—order your 2024 coin today.
- Fine silver. Crafted in 1 oz. of 99.99% pure silver with a limited mintage of 7,500 coins.
- Soon to be cherished. Add this heartfelt expression of Remembrance to your collection, where it will inspire reflection year after year.
- Includes serialized certificate. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins.
