The reverse design by Canadian artist Douglas R. Laird features a full-colour painted and engraved scene of a family skating on a frozen pond. Based on an original painting by Laird, the design centres on a mother, father, son, and daughter attired in outdoor clothing, laced into their skates, and accompanied by two dogs.
